Michael Cohen focuses his practice on securities litigation, helping investors recover money lost due to corporate malfeasance. He was recognized by Best Lawyers as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, Securities, from 2023 through 2025.
Michael has extensive experience litigating securities class actions against companies and individuals in a wide variety of industries, and has played a leading role in class actions involving mutual funds, hedge funds, fintech, nonfungible tokens and cryptocurrencies. Some of his recent successes include a $45 million recovery in In re Infinity Q Diversified Alpha Fund Securities Litigation, a securities action following the collapse of a mutual fund that had been overstating its net asset value, and a $4 million recovery against Dapper Labs in a case alleging the unregistered sale of securities.
He was recognized by Best Lawyers as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for 2023-26.
He is currently one of the lead attorneys litigating a securities class action related to the collapse of the Terra blockchain, which wiped out tens of billions of dollars in market capitalization.
Prior to joining The Rosen Law Firm in 2021, Michael was an associate in the litigation department of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, where he advised corporate and individual clients on a wide variety of litigation and regulatory matters in federal and state courts. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Corinne Beckwith of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
